I prefer a stand that mounts onto the swingarm pivot.... You can do all the stuff that can be done with the pitbull type of stand...Plus stuff that cant be done with that type of stand

eg:

1. Install/Remove rear shock
2.Get to push arm/swingarm bearings

I use Abba & for heavier jobs an NWS ...I think they are U.K firms but im sure similar jobbies must be made in the U.S

You know i have a set of front and rear stands i bought for my R6 on ebay about 3 years ago, dont even know the name of them but. But they work well on the tiller. I just typed in motorcycle stands. They came with swingarm spool hooks, and frame holders also.

I like my cycle-cat stand. I don't have to stand the bike up straight to lift it. The stand picks the bike up off the side stand by itself. It's very cool.

I Think mine is a Redline rear stand. I don't think they are around anymore though. Kinda heavy and a little more effort is needed to get the bike up, but it's heavy duty and very sturdy.

Edit: I was wrong, they are still around. I have the commercial series version.

Pitbull stands are better though.
