Finally got around to finding an easier way to lift TL engines onto my bench instead of the usual 2 stage lift :laugh

A 250Kg Electric Hoist for around £70 and a quick bracket made....

I have a handy I-Beam just over my bench which is perfect, I just pull on the engine until it clears the top then push back 6" as I lower it :thumbup

I thought of that but decided I'd never need to move it :laugh

Did that clutch spring pillar arrive ok ?

Just ordering two sets of +2mm pistons this week :devious

Ones on the left are from the front rod and ok, the ones on the right are from the usual rear rod close to failure as they are starting to break up and will soon be loosing the ability to maintain a protective oil film....

It's a lock up clutch on a drag engine I'm doing :devious

I would say no longer than 3 seasons based on past experience :laugh

As for the shells. Do you know why the rear are not as good as the front?

When i replaced mine they had about 10 thousand miles on them... and both looked fine. I replaced them anyway... i was in there already..might as well i figured.

I am really curious as to what is causing the early failure.
