anyhoo:dowhat i drove up to the local bike mechanics to ask a few questions:coocoo but before i got there the drivers side front brakes went up in smoke and the wheel was too hot to touch:O my pads are ok/no groves in the discs/what would make the wheel itself go so hot:O please help:hail :hail im having a real bad day:bawling:bawling

Sounds like your pistons may have stuck on your discs Jeff, if you have a fork stand raise the front and try spinning up the wheel, you may need to strip down your calipers and give the seals a good clean out.
Check that your lever hasn't got something trapped near the cable, whan I fell off once, I got some grass caught in there, I couldn't understand why my bike came to a stop when I throttled off:O
That wire under your seat has got to be to blame, I think Dave owes it to you to come over and resolder the wire up to cure your woes forever

Anyway mate, where you been

To be honest Johnny, I am a bit ****ed off that you would say such a thing.

Do you think for one second that I have not already told Jeff I would sort it? :coocoo

As soon as I have somewhere to do it, I will strip the loom back and Jeff knows this.

And Jeff, could be the wheel bearings on the scooby.

And I would rather have the 'S' than that 'R'. :yes

Got to say it geff, daves old / your new tls is one of the sweetest i have seen..fix the niggles and all will be sound I am sure.

+1 for a knacked wheel bearing...perhaps a sticky caliper .is it an opposed piston job (like the tls/r calipers) cos if its not it may just be stuck on its slider pins/ bolts or whatever they are called..

I have just planned a bit of a weird mountain bike ride, near me is a canal (Llangollen)
A friend and I are getting dropped off at the end and we are cycling the towpath (50 miles) stopping at as many pubs as we can, should be a hoot, if it falls through then I will be up for a meet on the 29th:thumbup

50 Miles along a towpath and you ask why fishermen don't smile, keep a count of how many you have to get to move thier rods + poles etc.
Good luck with the ride does that also mean you have failed to abstain from the evils of drink for a month then?
Did a similar thing a few years ago not as far but nearly ended up in the cut a few times after the booze began to kick in.:)
