So since I'm stuck waiting on funds and parts I decided to take care of some cosmetic issues and on today's todo list is fiberglass repair. When I went to pick my bike up from the previous owners house I get their and the first thing I see is my new to me bike is in quite a precarious situation. He had the damn thing hanging from straps under a front end loader. Why u ask? I wish I knew but what's done is done. When I got it home I noticed the right side tail fairing is kinda sagging. I looked closer to discover that the fastening nipple is broke completely off and it has a crack about 5 inches long going down the side level with the ground. I half ass fixed the nipple a week or so ago but I didn't do a great job. It had lots of empty space in the fiberglass repair I did so I boxed in around it and poured resin in to fill the space completely. You can see the repair I made for the crack. I'm no fiberglass wiz but I have used fiberglass with car audio work so I do have a limited working knowledge of fiberglass. I don't think I did too bad.

You can't really see the crack in the picks. If you look hard u will see a dark line, that's it you have to seperate it to see it you can't see it at all now :)
Another way is to use fibreglass repair bog (auto repair ) but you got the same result so top job .

Yes indeed it was. I think the problem was I paid him first. Lol. If you know the back story then you know why that's funny. Clearly he was not thinking clearly and that's a testimony to my organic manufacturing ability. I think he was thinking I was gonna back out if I had time to think about so he wanted it loaded and out of their. I guess he thought he was getting the better deal but in all actuality I didn't pay a dime for it so not much chance of me backing out. I guess he didn't realize that the brand new freshly recalled and replaced fuel tank was worth far more than I have in it. All I truly have invested is time doing something I love doing and years of working knowledge. Trust me, I let out one hell of a WTF when I pulled up and saw it dangling in the wind. I just shook my head and backed my truck up to it. It was super easy to load tho, I'll give him that.
I understand. Good story!
Thank you Sir! The police knocking on my door with a universal key couldn't have tarnished my mood once that bike was on my truck and the title was signed. You've never seen someone so excited to buy a vehicle with a blown engine.
