i recently bought a 97 tl1000s and it seems like the clutch wont engage. still have to hold the clutch lever to start it, but when i release the clutch in gear it doesnt release. when shifting from nuetral into first or second you can feel the transmission grab, but when i throttle up and release the clutch it just feels a little tighter then nuetral. i heard it was the adjustment bolt, but also that it might be the spring bolt, i appreciate any advice yall have

I would pull the front sprocket cover off and set the actuator per the book to start with. Then get the clutch cable setup correctly. If I had done that I wouldn't have wasted $20 on a new clutch cable.
