Got my bike back after being stolen.
And had to replace ignition and main wire harness. On top of plenty of other damage. The problem i have is the new ignition wires don't match up but the plug does with the main harness. Any one experience this. Or any help would be appreciated. How can i check if the wire are correct and if they are just wrong color on some?

Nice that you got your TL back.馃憤 Sorry to hear about the damage.馃檨

Regardless of the wire colors on the new Switch, use your ohm meter to verify continuity from terminal to terminal in the OFF and ON on positions.
Probe between the terminals on the switch side that correspond to the following wire colors on the loom side of the connector.

In the OFF position there should be no continuity between any of the terminals.

In the ON position the following pairs should show continuity.
RED to ORANGE = 0 OHMS
GREY to BROWN = 0 OHMS
ORANGE/Red to BLACK/White = 100 Ohms

If your new switch agrees with the above conditions, it should work for you. If not, we can talk about possibly making it work.
