Avoid the early 97 ECU. It was all wrong. If you get the 97 make sure it is post recall. All S ecus have the same plugs. Don't buy a restricted one. The R ecus will not work. Plug is different and they have logic for the secondary injectors (that the s doesn't have)

I have not found any ne yet iv been looking but all the ones I found r pre recall and the one that wasn’t was a little out of my price range and idc where it’s from as long as it works and is affordable

I was interested in the comment about avoiding early '97 ECUs. I have a '97 TLS that I've owned for almost 20 years and it has always run a bit rough below about 35 mph. Runs perfectly above there. It has aftermarket end-cans of unknown origin that may be a contributory factor (there are no visible identifiers, though they look like Yoshimuras of that era). Suggestions welcome.
