    I have my bike tore down for maintance and mods. I am having a difficulty trying to figure out how to get to the rear exhuast pip to remove the pipe from the pairs system. Does anyone have any input. Do I have to remove the dampner or what. sonny

    Just been looking at my valve clearances, and the gaps are tighter than specified clearances. Can this cause the tapping sound from the engine?     I'm anal and wouldn't stand for clamping off the rear tube. But damn, that bottom bolt on the flange, by the head is a b*tch to get to. No way I'm gonna pull the motor to get these things on. So the rear cyl exhaust was pulled, and the damper unbolted (for visibility)... The top nut came off...
