G’day all! This is my first post on this forum but I have been a member for a few years. I have read some similar threads about clutch drag, clutch slip, and clutch cams, but I am pretty much a motorcycle novice and could not find an exact answer so I’m hoping you guys can help.
Just puttin out the feelers here.
I have a small sheet of ally which is 5mm thick, was wondering if this would do the the job, just as a replacement for the standard busa arm i have, which is pig ugly :rant
Soz if posted in wrong section :P
Looked through 400 pages of the PDF file (eyes gone bad or the pages blurry) and want to know if there is a list of torque settings.
I am particularly after all the engine covers and the chassis bolts.
I have about 90% of what I am after but haven't got the engine/sprocket cover torques on the...
I picked up a new chain and sprocket last Thursday and put them right on, (now at 17/43). Then it rained for three days. Stopped long enough that the road was dry so I just took a test ride. Probably got less than five miles before the road was all wet again.
I only rode the bike once after...
Sorry to burn a slot here, but I need some help and cannot access the online shop manual right now (in addition to being on dial backup). Can anyone who can access it (or knows) tell me the torque specs for the bolts attaching the front calipers to the forks for a 2001 TLS?
Ok not really, its more like 500% more, but there is a catch. I need to get this out of my brain before i forget, since i did this along time ago.
When i first got my TL i loved it but the second gear stalling around a corner thing really drove me nuts and the amount of clutch slipping to get...
To save me downloading the whole manual again (my paper got destroyed in a little flooding incident :dowhat) does anyone have the rear wheel nut torque setting please?
I normally use an 18" bar and my "wrist-ometer" but I want to prove something to myself .......
There is a guy on a local forum with the following question, I though you guys would be able to give a greater insight into the differences.
Whenever I have come across a V-Twin rider, they always proclaim how wonderful the pull of a V-Twin is compared to a inline-4. I...
Ok my computer sucks balls and I cant get the torque specs off of chucks site or tlzone. Help a brother out...
- retainer plate bolts
- sprocket rotor bolt
- sprocket cover bolts
- clutch release Cylinder bolts
Is torque a correctable measure?
Can the same formula be used for hp and tq corrections?
My bike made an uncorrected 113hp. Someone posted that corrects to 129.
129 is 115% of 113.
My bike made 68lb tq. Using the same formula that corrects to 78lbs. Is that fairly accurate?
I bought a new torque wrench :banana. I read, re-read and read agian the operating instructions. What I learned is with a new tool like this, find something you don't mind snapping, or rated very high footpounds, and try the lower settings on this first... Dummy here tried it first time when...
