Hello everybody! I recently picked up a 97 tl1000s that needs a little bit of work. I noticed that the cooling fan was not connected, so I looked around for a place to connect it but couldn't find any place for it  So I went over to Steve's pages and looked in the workshop manual. And...

The threads on my oil pressure sensor/switch are stripped. Any suggestions on the best way to fix this (Heli-Coil, TIME-SERT, JBWeld)? And what size are the threads?! I haven't been able to figure it out. Apparently, the previous owner stripped the threads and reinstalled the sensor with a...

Didn't like how I'd done the gauges originally so I moved the ignition switch location from stock to allow them a more forward and lower location.

Is this the correct clutch switch for my 97 TLS? Are the 3 pins supposed to bent over like that? How do I connect to the two spades on the pig tail to which of the three pins in the switch? It looks like a plug should be fitted to me?

Hi guys The front brake on my bike never lit the tail light. The switch is probably gone. Do i need a new handle or can i just replace the switch. The wire into the brake was cut by my "sparky" mate. Can this be rewired into a new switch or back into the handle? Ta B

A couple of guys have inquired about having the ability to switch their TRE on and off. Okay, to be honest, it's just one guy so far, Spyrios, and he's a Greek, so who knows if anyone else will be interested or not. :coocoo:):):) Spy's argument is that he'd like to be able to turn the TRE off...

I can't find the post that talks about jumping something on the headlight switch so you get both lights for low beam and both lights (instead of 1) for high beam along w/ low beam, at least that's the way I remember it. I've tried searching the forums for different keywords; switch mod, high...

I rode my '01 TLR Sunday without any problems. This morning I back it out of the garage to ride to work and turn the ignition on to get ready to start it up. All lights come on, everything looks normal. I straighten the front wheel a bit then everything goes dark. No lights, no fuel pump...

As first (I believe) identified by SteveTLS,( http://wotid.com/tls/content/view/18/56/ ) the clutch switch provides more information than just an interlock for the starter. It also provides an input to the ECM which selects different map (this was further validated by the guys hacking the ECM)...

Guys, does anyone know if anyone is offering a Factory Mode switch? (Or whatever it's called--to read trouble codes.) I just posted something in the group buy section, but I'm wondering if one isn't already available. I did a search, but didn't find anything. Do tell, keepers of all Tiller...

Okay guys, I'm not sure about ya'll, but I'm tired of cramming a opened paperclip into the factory connector to read trouble codes. Not that I need to do it often, but half the time I don't get the thing wedged in and it doesn't even work without friggage. :banghead Who would be interested in...

sometimes when i turn the key, i get nothing. traced problem to the ignition switch connector. it gets hot when the electrics are on. any small wiggle to the connector will turn off all electrics. there is probably a short somewhere but i dont know if its the switch or the harness somewhere. i...
