I have been searching a few days for a Bitubo Carbon Fiber steering damper. I know they do not make these anymore. Only chance I would have is if someone has one in stock from long ago.
Got a phone call today from a guy. He does not have the EXACT steering damper in carbon fiber but he does...

I have searched high and low for a low cost modification to keep my stock damper.

One way I have...

Been kind of looking for a steering damper for the ol' TLS and not really finding any. Not flush enough to go buy a wizzer bang new one so used it is... does anyone know if dampers off other bikes would work? Thanks for helping the clueless!
I'm gonna take my '97 TLS off the road for a couple of months over the winter and I would really like to convert it to straight bars at the same time. I've done this before to another bike and really loved the transformation (and the lack of back pain on longer runs). My problem is that I...

For pictures of how it mounts...
I now read a few trends regarding the replacement of the oil in a TLR steering damper but there my question is what weight of oil would you replace it with, as a couple of peps say 5w and other 2.5w?
Is 5w as standard and 2.5w for a lighter feel?
Been bothered by a heavy "click" almost as heavy as a "clunk" when applying the brakes hard. After lifting the front end up and still not really being able to say for sure if I had a problem I disassembled the the front of the bike. (streetfighter not really that big a deal) Found an issue with...
Hi does anybody recognise this steering damper. I have been told its not made for this bike.
Its an Ohlins obviously :coocoo so no remarks please.
Just wondered if its a standard damper by them or a bike specific model. The bracket seems to have been made (and subsequently welded) maybe even as...
