Dear all TL members. I’ve long been a forum leech and gleaned all the wondrous free advice shared by everyone. I’ve always felt that I had little to offer in the way of help or advice back that hadn’t already been done/said, until now. Instead of seeking profit, I’ve felt it right to give back...
Hey yo! :)
I'm lucky enough to have a detached garage with the minor issue that from the road, the drive first slopes up and then steeply goes down to a garage (where I'm intending to keep the moped). The house is shared by a friend so I can't just leave the bike occupying the drive, cos that's...
I just came across the most amazing piece of gear -
Bike lift/stand and dolly all-in-one.
Skip on down the post if you're bored, and want to get to the exciting part, but here is my preliminary voyage of discovery:
I actually thought ( :coocoo ) I had come up with an original concept of a...
I am going to buy one from eBay but the only style I see for the TL has flat pieces that must sit under the swing arm. I have the spools installed and would like to have that style stand.
Are all stands the same or are they made to different dimensions/model specific?
Hi, have for sale a red Harris front stand which lifts the bike via the headstock. Will get pictures on soon as possible.
Stand is in very good condition as will be seen when I get pictures up.
I have successfully lowerd the TLR and now I need to shorten the bike stand!
Is there a substitute shorter bike stand that would fit or is the right solution to cut and shorten the original:banghead
I've got a list of part #s.. my bike got backed into while it was parked and it vaulted the side stand, pretty much trashing the stand and bracket, so the entire assembly might as well just get replaced as I don't know how badly the bolts got torqued... Also happen to be missing a bolt for the...
I also have a front and rear stand for a TLR
Rear stand, black bobbin style
Front under the stearing head lift (allows you to remove the forks.) Black
$100 the pair
I'm in Melbourne AUSTRALIA so local pick up only
Now I'm sure I saw somewhere on here a while back someone had posted pics of a stand that they either had just bought or designed and made themselves.
There were photos of it, and I'm pretty sure it inserted into the swingarm pivots and levered the bike up that way. This means the suspension...
Im looking to remove the kickstand on my TLR as its going to permanent track duty.
my question is;
can I just cut and loop out the stand switch or will I need to solder in a resistor of some type?
i am procrastinating on doing my motor swap now that i have it due to the fact i am working night shift and i have no idea how to jack my bike up to remove the motor.
i don't want to invest a lot into some system to lift my bike and be stable enough to where i don't damage things while i am...
Any of you TL owners out not like the lack of stability with your kick stand?? what'd you all do to fix that?? is there an alternate kick stand ready for installation or any tightening that could be done??:banghead
Can anyone recommend some GPS software that works on Windows Mobile but is stand alone i.e. Doesn't need an internet connection to work?
My phone came with Wayfinder which isn't bad, and even though I downloaded most of the AU maps, it still needs to connect to their server to work.
ive got a stand with the 2 prongs and plate for front, im tryna remove front wheel, but the plate blocks access to axle, and i dont see how its gonna work, bike only raises only bout an inch or s o, do i need a different type of stand, and does anything need to be removed to get wheel out, such...
At the moment I don’t have a front stand (pitbull etc)….
In the owners manual it suggests that for front wheel removal you “place the bike on a rear stand and put a jack under the exhaust”
Q1: Without a front stand has anyone actually used this method?
Q2: wouldn’t it be better to place the...
