  1. Motor Tear Down and Rebuild
Dear all TL members. I’ve long been a forum leech and gleaned all the wondrous free advice shared by everyone. I’ve always felt that I had little to offer in the way of help or advice back that hadn’t already been done/said, until now. Instead of seeking profit, I’ve felt it right to give back...

anybody have some good suggestions for an Iphone mount? I know the RAM mount looks ok, but it seems like a perfect mounting spot on the fairing brackets that run over the steering dampner. Anyone like to chime in on this?

Hi, I've been talking to Gregg at Greggs Customs about making a set of flush mount blinkers for the TL1000R. Here is a link to the original thread: http://www.tlzone.net/forums/tl1000s-tl1000r-forum/118278-who-makes-most-popular-flush-mount-blinkers-r.html So here's a copy of the email he sent...

I was going to say best but that would probably spark a war. I'm in the market for a set of front flush mounts and wanted a pointer from you guys. I haven't been steered wrong yet, so I'm going to let it ride. Thanks

an Oregon ATC2K camera on an R ? Looking forward would be best I think although a rear view would be better for shots of Mole and Moyston on track days :devious

Hello chaps and chapets Do any of you know if the TLR's exhaust mounts will fit to the TLS's rear pillion hanger frame holes? I want to junk the TLS pillion foot rest and exhaust mount, replacing it with the TLR's shorter exhaust mount. Hopefully this will let me bring the pipes up higher...

I know that my XR is almost the almost furthest thing from a TL, but I've looked around the net, and tried to post at ThumperTalk.com, but since I'm new over there my thread is being reviewed by the moderators. I thought since most of us ride many different bikes that someone on here might have...

Yes thats my question. I am street fighting the thing and the stock one is a gonner'' (no place to mount). Would you get another one or just drive without it?? I have leaved it off right now and the bike is soooo easy to handle... waaaaay easy steering. I'm a slow biker and not near the ground...

Hey TLZ! Sorry it has been a while since I posted. Life is back to normal now. I was playing outside with my camera, sitting next to my bike and then I had an idea. My 2003 TL1000R is 98% stock...I have only made a couple of visible modifications. The first user to identify and post the...

Saw this picture of SV tank (I think) supports and thought they would be great to have if your TLR has an Ohlins shock. The problem then is how to support and where to reposition the tip over sensor. I did think of the 2 bolt holes at the very top of chassis which held the rotary damper in...

I did a search but didn't seem to get much from it. I have a busted front turn signal and for less $$$ than the original it looks like I can clean up the look with the flush mount signals on ebay. Who has swapped their signals out and what brand did you use?

I did a search through some old threads, and it looks like TLR owners are mounting GPS's to the fairing stay - fair enough - but in going to the RAM website it's not clear what mount I should be buying. Can someone who runs a GPS with a RAM mount on a TLR tell me exactly what ball-end unit they...

Heeeeeeeelp. The lower mounting bolt on a '99 TLS standard rotary shock has snapped off half way along (ie inside the shocker) so cannot remove the shock to ezi-out the broken bolt. The reach required to drill and extract from outside the frame is too far for standar:bangheadd tools. Anyone else...
