    As first (I believe) identified by SteveTLS,( ) the clutch switch provides more information than just an interlock for the starter. It also provides an input to the ECM which selects different map (this was further validated by the guys hacking the ECM)...

    Trying to help out a friend on this one. He picked up a 97 CBR 600rr at auction without keys. Anyone one here know how to hotwire it to bypass the ignition so it will turn over? All my toys have keys or a kickstart so I have no idea. Doesn't have to be pretty, just has to get it going. Thanks
