Hey all. I've been away from the forum for a little while. Nice to see some local guys posting up. I should be back on the road shortly. I've been glassing and bondoing my fairings. Just about ready to paint and do some general maintenance and I'll be ready to roll. Hopefully I have missed summer. All two weeks of it. I have been on PNW riders quite a bit. Like this forum quite a bit better there's not many of us local. I did a little ride with about 5 guys awhile back and have a great idea for a poker run that I want to put together by the end of the summer. I'll post up more details as I have more time to plan it. It'll be worth coming to even for youguys that are a little farther out I promise!!

I will be picking my TLR up tomorrow (Wednesday) from the machinist in Aldergrove, BC. He welded an aluminum blank into the 20mm oil drain hole Aurora Suzuki created and redrilled and retapped to the stock 14mm size. If all goes well I will be back on the road this week as long as the weld holds. Anyone want to ride Thursday?

I might be able to head out thursday late afternoon, for a little bit. 6-7ish. I'm pretty sure Ive seen E56 running around in lynnwood, around the alderwood mall area. the only other b/w TLR with carbon cans and black wheels that I knew was CW and he sold it awhile back. The one I kept seeing in Lynnwood had to be E56. I hadn't seen it in a long time, but after reading about the aurora suzuki deal, I see why. Ive tried to run him down, but every time Ive seen him, its going the other way and gone before I could get turned around fast enough.

I might be. Ive got the motor and heads off my VW beetle, I managed to suck up a screw somehow and screw up a valve/valve seat. If I get my heads back saturday, im going to spend sunday putin the motor back together and back in the car, if not, i will be out riding all day.

Picking up my TLR tomorrow morning. The drain plug weld holds oil but now there's a new problem: the motor is leaking where the cases split. Basically, the case with the drain plug was pulled apart ever so slightly when the weld cooled and contracted. It was an informed risk that I knew about before the guy did it but I thought it was worth a shot. Not sure how bad it is but the machinist said it is certainly rideable. I'll know more tomorrow when I see the bike. Definately a winter project but for now I'm going to ride it...
It would be good to meet some of the local yocals and put some faces to these names. How does 10am Thursday (the 17th) at Lynnwood Cycle Barn sound? Can go earlier too. I wouldn't mind meeting up in the afternoon either for you 9-5 fellas as long as I don't spring any major leaks. Let me know. I can be reached at: 206-713-6384.
Cary
BTW, Zech, I bought CW's bike off him last year for $7400.
