So when Michelle comes home, I inform her it's odd that we don't have our tickets yet, when even guys in Europe received theirs already:
"Oh those cames weeks ago - I have them safely stashed!"
I guess we're all set!!
(we do need to get her some more miles under her belt before then though - she hasn't done anything like that amount of saddle time in one clip yet)

What a great weekend!
Michelle rode the SV down - her first 'major' trip. She did fantastic!
She was leading a long line of bikes through Barloy Canyon observing the speed limit impeccably (a few mph over 30); at one clearing one guy popped out from behind & passed about 1/2 dozen bikes incl Michelle - then the cops just stepped out from the bushes and waved him in! Everyone was happy to follow afer that!! (Seen it too many times, hence the caution on our part - M's brother got ticket his first year down with the bike for crossing yellow line while "lane-splitting" when cars were allowed on that road)
Same thing happened when leaving on Sunday incidentally - bike passed us up & about 1/2 mile later we saw him pulled over getting ticket.
That's first time we have stayed down there during race weekend - Cannery row was an incedible scene on Saturday night! One huge street party.
Michelle bought Grandstand seats (opposite pit) but we only used them for the free practise and Sunday warm-up.
We watched Qualifying from 9 - saw both of Lorenzo's wipe-outs at 10! Then watched the race from up above 1 - best location in my opinion.
Good view of them coming off the pit straight down shifting like crazy for 2, then awesome view of exiting 2, then all the way around through 3, 4 & 5 and up the hill. Then you see them emerge at 9 and down through 10.
Nice to meet Speedking on Saturday - he said I was about 30th TLZone member to stop & say Hi! We need to organize a meeting point next year!
Hope you all had as much fun as we did. Already can't wait for next year!

I was there on Sunday for a few hours....but it was all business. Drove up from Santa Monica @ 4:30am  , drove home after the Sportbike race ~4:30pm  .
Wish I could have met some of you guys, or even said hello to my team  ...
