No, I ripped the bullet cam to pieces and there were two small capacitors rattling loose, unfortunately that have fractured flush with the capacitor case and I can't even tell where they were soldered to the board.
I've thrown another £150 into the pit and bought a top of the range HD Sony Bullet Camera with low light function. I'll be more careful about making vibration free mounts
