Tenth Anniversary MotorSport Ranch Cresson Texas
Being a member of a racetrack has its perks. For its 10th anniversary I am getting free track time for me and 2 guests. I am taking Misfire and 97eviltwin. So we get free BBQ and track time. Hard to top that for Father's Day, poor Gixxerjasen and Tye couldn't make it, Zelig is going with someone else. So we will have a Squid Squad quorum. Should be fun.
Now they know who's their buddy!

It was great today. There were only about 10 bikes on the entire track. The day was great with plenty of breaks and no wrecks. The nice cool breeze blowing at the track was nice. It was only 98 degrees today!

Well, a good time was had by all. Also for the first time 97eviltwin and I were at the same track day and he didn't crash! Woo Hoo. He and Misfire joined another buddy. Dave has improved, we have stuff to work on but he is 85% untangled in his riding. We are pretty happy with him.
The Husqvarna was the business, not one disappointment, it went like stink, stopped like stink and frankly turned like a Mo-Fo! 
There was a Desmosidici there and the guy started it for me and revved it while I made a short video, I needed a moment and a cigarette afterwards. What a beautiful jewel of a motorcycle that thing is. I could look at it for hours.
There was also a Spyker C8 Laviolette for $247,000.00 that gets 19 mpg, I thought is was spiffy so I took some pictures.
But for myself and misfire, riding with Zelig in his Miata was quite an experience. Wow, he scared the shit out of me, I went 2 laps and called "calf rope" (Texan slang for "let me out of this friggin car)
Again, wow, Chris has way more speed than I thought a Miata would do, and it was so violent relative to a motorcycle. I think I am intrigued. Hmmmmmm.
But, I want to thank the fellas for all the fun, the shooting the breeze and in general the bench racing we had, great day! Thanks Chad, Bill, Chris and Dave. Wow, that was fun, and it was free!!!!!!!!! Woo Hoo!"

Good to hear you're back out having fun Doug .
Did the Desmo go out on the track? I went to visit Gerhard at California Speedway a few months back when there were 3 Desmosedicis on the track. One, in the fast group, was absolutely flying (other 2 were in the intermediate group). He had a Termignoni exhaust and sounded more like an airplane when he came down the front straight.

No that is a brand new one, for sale, I was lucky he started it, they weren't sure it had gas in it. It would have been sweet to see though.

Damn Doug, sounds like a lot of fun. The family we were supposed to meet had some medical issues and had to cancel, but we went out anyway. Wish we could have been there. Glad you got to ride with Chris. You think he's scary on the track, try riding with him on the street.
