do you know where i can find some regs for hill climbing?
i'm just wanting to know what i need..... sharkfin, bellypan,etc,what to lockwire,etc,etc
i don't want to turn up at the first event and not be allowed to ride 
also, anything else that may help will be great,

Ring up the Auto66 and they will send you out a regs book
You need a shark fin and lockwire the sump, no need for lockwiring the filler or fitting a bellypan etc, the rules were clarified 2 years back as there was a lot of confusion.
Be careful with Supercorsa Pro's/Racetecs as technically the tyres must be treaded to the edges, we just tell the scrutineers to bugger off but one day they will put their foot down
I'll be doing the Scarborough/Dalby meetings

i'm on either wets or pilot power 2ct's so i'm ok on the tyre thing.
how do i go about lockwiring the sump? just try to drill through the sump bolt??
could you post a pic of your shark fin fitted? i'm gonna make my own if i can/ if its worth it

all you need to do is block the chain run onto the sprocket. If you look at mine, it's just a piece of ally bolted onto back of stand bobbins.  Don't forget dog tags with your full name & date of birth  don't forget to bring a big chunk of self preservation, & also cider

And if you get air under the rear wheel at Scarborough it's one of three things.....
1. You've just crashed
2. Your doing the twisty sprint by mistake (see below)
3. Your front brakes are pretty good

I wish they'd bring back the twisty sprint  my first ever first place on the KX500, roll on May, we'll be against last years champion & also a double champion from a few years ago
