Its worth that just to get the plugs!!
its a universal suzuki one which means that it will be set for a hyabusa in fifth, ( no speed limiter)
It will give the tl a 5th gear map too. not absolutley ideal . it looks to be just heat shrunk so you could easily open it and change the resistor if it really bothered you.

hey ring in...quick question from a knoobie to mods about the a&r tre...what would be the good and bad for a 5th gear map vs a 6th gear map? just want to get a better understanding...if 6th is more ideal then i may have to mod my tre to get the 6 th gear map...is that possible? thanks in advance...

The mixture is slightly richer in 6th than 5th.
The only reason 5th gear TRE's are out there is to defeat the speed limiter on the Busa's and GSXR1000's as they have a lower rev limit in 6th.
(And a smart TRE is better than a dumb TRE - your idle stays contant, doesn't change depending on clutch lever position).

The listing says it will be 5th or 6th depending on model.6th for TL,5th for Busa?
