Welcome Check your TPS and do a TB sync. Download the manual from the File Vault (top right) and also the TPS/TB sync video. The last one is for the S but gives you the idea of how to. The search button (also top right) is a great tool, there have been numerous threads on this subject.
If you can't figure it out feel free to ask.

welcome, you made a Rightous choice with that tl. Make sure you do a tune up and all the mods for it, all located in the mod section http://www.tlzone.net/forums/frequent-tl-mods/ theres the charging mod, plus (+) mod, fuel filter mod, and the tre mod, do those and a tune up, oil, spark plugs, and coolant, and your good to go oh and if you need help http://www.chucksirois.com/tl1000/ chucks site is a good place, and of course tlzone will be a big help. Good luck

Welcome, good choice on the R. I guess you'll need a new thread on "defining rough" lol I'm in agreement with TLR Chirs...TB synch and TPS will make a whole world of difference. And it looks super complicated, but its really easy.

I'll second that... Done mine the other day
Note to self... Connect vacuum lines back onto IAP and IAT sensor's or bike will smoke like a chimney and won't run
