Is this normal?

Today I decided to take my bike out to go do some shopping since there was no parking and I didn't want to lose the parking spot for my car. I start riding, and as I get to the light, it begins to cough and idle roughly, the only way to keep it on was to rev it like crazy, I tried to go home, and en route it turned off twice, I managed to take it home and left it, a few hours later, I go try to turn it on, it turns on fine, and ran, I even popped two wheelies while riding down the block. Why would it run like crap earlier that day, but later at night run fine? is it due to the weather, it was a warm day today, and later that night there was a bit of wind, but still pretty warm, I'm really curious to know why that happened, thanks alot

Did you wash your bike before heading out? Or was it parked outside with dew and/or rain overnight? These questions are aimed at water shorting out a wire that could then dry out and act perfectly normal later on. For grins you might snip the ends (maybe 1/4") of your sparkplug wires then reattach.

i leave it in my garage (open garage, it's not mildew or anything nor is it a water or anything, the apartment manager is maticulous on cleaning everything there clean since its parked next to his cars, weird thing just on thursday I rode it with no problems I ride over 70 miles with in a few hours, besides the whistling which is caused because the charcoal canister inside the tank broke off, it was fine, it was hotter than yesterday as well about 95, yesterday it was warm with some breeze much cooler, then it was windy at night, so I don't think weather or anything has anything to do with it. I was also thinking the battery, but that does not explain how it ran well later that day, It has a new filter, fuel lines, and plugs, and it's also done this before I replaced the filter and fuel lines, but that was from dirty lines obviously. Also the broken charcoal canister is still in the tank. It recently broke off after I had tried to place it back again

I'm still having a problem with it, could it be the side stand switch? How do I check it?

Hmmm that sounds really familiar, like the last ride we went on. I found that I was only running on 1 cylinder. I never was able to reproduce it. I shut her off and it never happened again. I did also trim the wires back.
