The 300mm rotor was the last one with the similar bore and PCD to the TL rotor.
5mm spacers to retain the 310's wouldn't be that bad.?

As Amulmuz says the R1 caliper (27mm/30mm piston) used a 16mm radial,a Brembo 18/19 radial would work nicely with the GSXR calipers (30mm/34mm pistons)

As far as machining you would need to split the caliper so the part line face could be clocked on a angle plate then fly cut.
The problem might be the mount bosses have a flare at the mount face, removing that might negate the radial being rigid.
Would a Brembo 19x18 work with the R1 caliper (27mm/30mm piston)? Better/worse/different than with the GSXR caliper (30mm/34mm pistons)?

Why and how?

I have a Brembo 19x18 and Im planning to go the GSXR forks w/ R1 calipers and TL spec wheel&rotors (320mm). Sound good or bad? Will a GSXR caliper work better?

I never got to find out before putting my bikes into storage.

I could have tested 310mm/320mm rotors with R1/GSXR calipers with both the 16mm and 18/19 Brembo.
It will be old news by the time i get back to it.

Who has run a 18/19 Brembo with stock TLS calipers because they to are 27mm/30mm pistons.

I have a set of the later calipers that have had 5mm machined off the mounting bosses no problem

Like Les says, fit the shorter boss calipers from the k3/4's and you will be ok.

I've added some extra lines to my fork chart to help with swapping calipers between models
You can work out what spacers are required now by adding the caliper face measurements from whatever combination you are using and comparing that total to what diameter discs you are using, the difference is the caliper spacer thickness, also you can tell from lower down the chart if the should ideally be plain or shouldered on one or two sides

btw the R1 Caliper measurement is a best guess from nissn1 saying he needed 5mm spacers for 03/04 GSXR1000 bottoms, hopefully somebody can verify this.

Only the 03 1000 had the 4 pads - the 04 1000 looks similar outwardly, but had gone to 2 pads.

The SV1K rotors are indeed 310mm with the 69mm bore and will be direct fit on any GSXR 01-04 wheel or also the TL/Hayabusa wheels - unlike the GSXR 310mm rotor which will not fit the TL (or earlier GSXR) wheels, but only 05+1000 or 06+ 600/750 wheels.

Interesting.

You need to factor in the 08 Hayabusa axle to any late GSXR fork in TL triple mods.

Arghh crap. Hey Sam, where are those calipers I bought for 310mm rotors before I found out the later GSXR's changed the PCD?
