Heli Bars... Fact or Fiction?

These famous Heli bars I keep hearing about! Do they exist? Can I still get them? Do they work?

I have a 99 TLS and sore wrist's and sleeping fingers.

Please advise!

The exist, I have a pair (not for sale). The are a bit taller and wider than stock, made of welded steel tube. Nothing terribly fancy or special but are an improvement over stock imho. Its not a night and day difference though, my guess is your wrists will still be sore and such if they are with the stock setup. If you do helibars combined with a flatter (less forward slope) seat, that can make quite a large difference I've found. The corbin is good in this regard, though was a bit too much so imho and made it hard for me to get comfortable in a tuck. I settled on a modded stock seat eventually.

I used a set on my 'S...very nice but I eventually went to the bar conversion and I won't go back. Scored a nice set of Magura fat bars from a new triumph speed triple

I have looked on Heli Bars web site and they no longer list them. I sent them an E Mail to see if the still make them. As far as the Renthal conversion is concerned most that I have seen furn the bike into a half naked street fighter. Has any one come up with a less invasive method. Renthals would be sweet!

I have a set...I honestly cant tell a huge difference..the numbness in your hands may be from either your back and leg posture being too aggressive, or your squeezing your grips a bit hard..my opinion

MX bars are a big departure (for the better imho) from stock, while helibars are a small refinement. Also noteworthy, helibars bolt on with no fiddling, MX bars require hacking up the fairing and windscreen, sourcing longer cables and either welding bar mounts to the stock tripple, drilling and milling the stock tripple for mounts or finding an LSL triple.
