OK Just learned about LSL however they do look ok there is far more fairing modification requried than I am willing to do. (I dont like the bar mounted mirrors) If I redesign the fairing stay does any one have pics of a Renthal setup that still incorporates that damper and all?

the numb fingers might be the bar ends or throttle cables that need adjustment.

How can the Throttle cable and the bar ends give numb fingers. plz someone tell me why.
I just love my TL and the looks of it, but i have this problem when riding for long trips, and converting handlebars is not the way i want to go.

Don't think throttle cables ......
but barends .....stock ones are steel and heavy they suppress the vibration.
under the top triple is two lumps of steel too and these do the same.
Helibars raise the bars about 1 1/2 and bring them back a bit. I have them and you won't notice them visually . they just make it nicer to ride.
Those who have them seem to like them so much they are quite hard to find S/Hand.
Also check your fingers do not touch the ends of your gloves when you are riding. the pressure on the tips combined with the vibration of the bike will numb your fingers in no time.

Don't rest your weight on your wrists while riding. Use your abs to hold yourself up, squeeze the tank with your knees and your wrists will thank you. An added benefit of this is you can now use the bars for their intended purpose, steering. Give it a try in a couple of weeks it will be all better. Remember to bend those elbows. If you do, you will be rewarded with comfort and a better handling bike. As to bar-ends and numbness, my Husky makes my hands seriously numb if I run at high speeds and it is an upright seating position and I have a pretty loose grip.

Just so you know I am not just talking out of my ass, I had a 2000 TLS which I put Heli Bars on and I used them about 6 months, I also went to California Superbike School and learned to use my abs at about the same time. I went back to the stockers and sold the Heli Bars. Here are some pics of my Heli Bars.
