Lets Play Name That Part.....HELP!
ok so I just replaced my detent spring which broke, and after I took off the outer plastic sprocket cover I realized that about 20,000 miles of road grime build up around my front sprocket, clutch pushrod etc.... I couldn't believe Suzuki would design such an error so I grabbed my show manual and looked it up. Sure enough my bike is missing an inner cover, shown in pics on my manual. I looked on bikebandit at ALL the scematics and can't find anything close. So its an inner fender of sorts that sits right behind the front sprocket to prevent crap from getting all over anything.....Any help guys and gals?

I'm on that page
![]() All that I can think of is you're looking at the seal retaining plate. It stops the output shaft bearing seal and the clutch push rod seal from falling out, it doesn't stop crud build up. There is only the plastic sprocket cover.

searched the PDF but I'm not seeing it. Not sure what you're talking about. I know the grime and road goo in my front sprocket is the only thing keeping my pushrod seal from leaking.

On www.ronayers.com this page http://fiche.ronayers.com/Index.cfm/...p/TRANSMISSION
Under transmission, part 34 / 24751-02F01 is that what you're thinking off?

There's nothing, that's why some people put a piece of hose or a straw over the clutch pushrod with a spring to push it against the seal. And use the improved SV1000 seal as per Sam's post!
