Forks leaking. Sell the TLR or fix the forks?

I had a fork seal leak a while back and opted to just have the seals replaced. At the same time, also had the 15k service and got new tires front and back and it was over $1000.

So, I was on a multi-day ride with my buddies and the front forks got bottomed out a few times in one day (I thought the tire got pinched against the rim it hit so hard). I noticed some fork oil had dripped onto the rim, which is never good, but I rode home (on a plugged rear tire). I got the rear tire replaced, but now what should I do about the forks? I don't want to just replace the seals again as it's probably not gonna do me any good as I assume the tubes are bent or something. I cleaned them up and used some film and ran it around the bottom of the fork seals to see about cleaning out any grit that may have been in there, but after riding in to work today, I see excessive fork oil on the tubes again.

So, of course, the options are to sell the bike, fix the forks or replace the forks with some from a different bike. I don't know that I want to replace the forks on my own and I really don't want to try to re-build them or anything.
So, short of selling the bike, what should I do? I have not priced anything out yet, figured you guys can give me an idea of what is in store for me first.

BTW, the bike has 22k miles on it and otherwise, runs fine.

Forks seals are pretty cheap... Do it yourself for less than $50 or take it to a shop and have them do it for about $120.
You can also check with Speedking about some Busa forks for a decent price.
I see you're in Manteca... Unlimited Motorsports 925-456-6500 in Livermore is a good shop, they're a Racetech authorized dealer... I had my forks & shock reworked by them.

Don't do it!!!! Don't sell. I just replaced my forks w/ forks from a Busa. I did it myself, it was my 1st time doing forks (and actually my 1st time doing "major" work on a bike). It was easy. I brought it into my shop (I work on cars, not bikes). I could've done it on the streets - but I'd rather not. Did it w/ basic hand tools.

Maybe the seal went because the forks bottomed several times. With some proper springs and oil(level) that should be history!

I have never seen the details on replacing forks with something like Busa forks. Is it really as easy as you say officer140? More detail? Pics?

I did see the chart that was posted about the various forks and spacers and such and it looks like the Busa forks are a drop-in replacement.

Busa forks up to '07 are a direct replacement... I'm contemplating the same swap for my '98 Tiller.

How much should I plan to shell out for them if I were to do this, approx? At this point, just ballpark is good as I need to know if I should swap them or have it done at a shop.

Check this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-07...QQcmdZViewItem

You can get better deals than this as well... just look around for a week or so. They look really slick on the TL's too
