Hi guys, just tried fitting some CR high mx bars to my 06 SV1000, but all the cables, wiring and hoses are to short! No amount of rerouting seems to help, any help would be greatly appeciated, or what bend of aftermarket bars are people out there using to get rid of the horrible originals.Ps I have stayed with the 7/8 size clamps! Thanks Baldz.

Well, if you are looking for information on longer cables, I would contact Heli bars and ask them, may even have info on their site as many of their clip ons require longer cables.

Also you might check on other oem parts that may do the trick. I suspect V-strom parts would fit and would be longer (I haven't tried it, just guessing here). IIRC TL guys often use a yamaha SR125 (I think) clutch cable as its longer and seems to work well.

I picked up a 2007 SV1000S last week and ordered Convertibars for it. They have a kit that is roughly $185 that has all the cables/brake lines extended to give a 4" reach over stock. Might want to check them out.
