gsxr6 help

hi all..... just had a strange one from a mate who runs a gsxr600. he is loosing a small amount of oil onto his left boot and rear tyre while pushing the bike hard...

i used to own one years ago but sold it soon after it almost crippled me as its tiny

can anyone sudgest a few things for him to look for........ is there somewhere they leak from normally.....

are they the same as the tl in the fact that they have a clutch push rod?

any advice welcomed

Perhaps, but you might also check the countershaft seal. TL's have the same problem with that seal. Basically though, he really needs to take things apart, clean it up really good, put it back together, run it hard and then take it apart and see where the oil is coming from.

countershaft seal..... is that the gearchange shaft?

+1 shift shaft seals go bad alot and finding out where it comes from is step 1 of anything

check the stator cover for small cracks had the same issue before and also check the gasket, I used to get it on my boot only after I pushed hard
