It's a Kawi - Duke's is a Yamaha FZ1. They are similar in using sportbike engines in a more user friendly, upright riding position. The 2nd generation kawi really upped the specs on their first go at it.

The bottom end power of this thing is FUN!!!
It's weird being on an I4 again. I haven't owned one since the mid '90's. The sound is nice but it can't touch a twin. I will get rid of the stock shovel. Just a matter of finding something that isn't cheap looking. Riding it is a blast. All the fun of a sportbike without the compressed seating position. It's actually taking me sometime to figure out how to ride the bike aggressively though. Just a matter of getting use to things. For commuting the position is very nice and comfortable, only issue is the firmness of the seat. After 2 hours of riding I'm starting to feel it. Only have about 100 miles left on the brake-in. I'll throw some Repsol in it and be on my way.
