project?

I have 2 things id really like to do.

1st a single side swing arm. for those who have ridden or done it is there a difference in handling. and where would i look to get this done. ido i just buy the part and put it on or will it half to be a one-of

2nd i would really like to set up the exhaust to come out like the beulls. only have an exhaust tip come out on either side of the bike. i am assuming i would have to cut my lower fair but just wondering if you had any tips. id rather try to keep a muffler on it and not straight pipe it. plus id love to do it with out cutting my Fairng.

so what are your thoughts or helpfull ideas that this forum is so known for.

First try to find the thread with pics and info on this subject. Bolt on? wishfull thinking

I think a singlesider is a bit heavier. But If you can find one with almost the same length as the standard swinger and get the suspension(ratio) right you should hardly feel the difference.

Check out the thread Fiche-man is running about his street TLS..

What bike are you talking about? A couple guys on Svrider have done it to first gen SVs. I think it's quite a bit of work to do though.

IMHO its the kind of thing where if you have to ask its probably way more involed than your prepared for. Doing an SSA right requires a lot of knowledge and practical skill, dito for the exhaust. Have a look at fiche-man's thread and if it all makes sense and seems do-able to you then have at it and post up pics

I think at one time there may have been aftermarket, tubular (Uno perhaps) SSA's available as direct bolt-on. I'm not 100% sure though and they likely cost more than a TLR is worth these days.

good luck

i was more looking for help in the area of someone might know a closely compatible SSA that i could mock in. and i ask because it is always better to ask and learn from someone elses mistakes.

on a side note WHY DID THIS GET MOVED I HAVE A TLR NOT AN SV? DID I POST THIS IN THE WRONG PLACE OR DID IT GET MOVED?
