Volkswagen Motorcycle Concept

It’s been almost two months since Volkswagen bought a 20% stake in Suzuki Motor Corporation, but that hasn’t stopped German designer Nils Poschwatta from imagining what the peoples’ motorcycle would look like. Much fervor was made with the announcement of the two companies joining forces, with many motorcycle fans wishing thinking that VW branded motorcycles were on their way. Like this concept, that notion is a work of pure fantacy, as the two companies have made it clear the partial acquisition is to help both brands enter into emerging car markets more effectively. Still, it’s a nice drawing.

The front isn't bad, the tail section is pretty dreadful.

Or an insect
I bet the VW boss said hey, make at least part of it look like a Bug - referring to the classic VW beetle. The design dude got mixed up and thought bug as in insect and there you have it.

I like it. Truth is, how many stock motorcycles, concept or not, would you seriously leave as-is versus modding in some way? I mean as soon as you got it in the garage those rear turn signals and exhaust have to go.

looks confused to me
sports tourer front, race rep rear (RC8), and for some god-forsaken reason a totally out of kilter boxer twin which has no relation to VW
Aspects of it are nice, combined whole poor - the complete opposite of something being better than the sum of it's parts

Well the boxer engine was at the core of building Volkswagen in its early decades... Might be a boxer four cylinder...

It's a multi-company parts bin special tail from RC8, exhaust from CB1000R, swingarm from R1, lower fairing from Buell ... etc.
Now, if it was an aircooled boxer ...
