We 1400km roads where great in the most part saw 2 cops in Hobart the only two things wrong with the roads was road kill (could feed the US for 3 years) and I was driving a get 1.3 litter box and kept getting stuck behind fat chicks on Harleys

TAS-
Great roads, lots of tracks for forestry / hydro access. Fantastic beaches and wildlife.
Friendly people , if a little odd in the sticks.
Bike hire near Launceston.
Cheap car hire in Sandy Bay, Hobart.
SW area fantastic and unspoiled.
Plenty of wild camping .
Lots of boat trips to see the coast and wildlife.
Very cheap and delicious seafood from the floating cafes in Hobart harbour.
Hidden speed cameras ( I got 2 tickets but used the B&B address I only used the first night on arrival ! )
Went up to Bicheno one afternoon, roads were clear. on the way back down next morning the road was littered with roadkill, mostly hefty wallabies.
I'm going back !!
