Where are you, DOBS? Help them out.

I converted to a 97-00 GSXR 600 rim (5.5") which
is dark gray. If I recall, the TL spacers & axle were the only things I used from the stock setup. Big difference in handling with a new 180/55 tire. Now I just need to get the front wheel for a match. I like the painted wheel better...easier to clean and better looking IMHO.

Hmmm: so if I want a better rear brake for wheelie control with my thumb brake, can I just swap on a larger Busa rear disc and the Busa caliper mount?

A Busa rear wheel will bolt right up provided you use the left and right outter spacers from the TL. The hub and rim have the same part numbers (with a change for colors). The sprocket will work if you want a 40t 530. The rear rotor is larger on the busa.

The front Busa wheel is a direct swap.

Gsxr K series wheels will fit TLS/TLR!

To make them fit, you just need to use the k'series complete rear wheel/cush drive/spacers!

The front fits, just needs 2 (3.5mm) spacers, both sides of the axle, you can use 1 spacer, but i used 2, the reason being, the gsxr K'series front wheel hub is 7mm narrower than the tls/tlr hub, so 2 (3.5mm) spacers will make up for the 7mm that you lose & it also centers the wheel perfectly!

On the rear, i didnt have a K'series cush drive, so i used one from an SV1000 inc SV spacer!

Not sure how to post full size pics, but leave me your e'mail & i'll try to mail you pics of my spacer set-up!

Wheel weight

I have weighed K5 1000 rear wheel with disc but without carrier. 6,5kg´s. Someone convert it to pounds. But that was K5, having different spokes from earler models. Weighed K4 front too but cant remember the result..

If K1-K4 front wheel fits, that very much means K5 will fit too. As the wheels i weighed were used on K5.
