Future FAQ Caliper matches.
The question seems to get asked a lot.
What calipers are a direct bolt-on for our bikes, I haven't absorbed any of the answers, so those that know, can you please add them to this thread and I'll compile it into one thread and put it into the Frequent mod forum when it's done.
As I hope this will become the definitive guide to swapping calipers, please only post definites and not any "I thinks".
Thanks.
For the front we know ....
TLS / TLR are interchangeable.
Hayabusa's
Gixxer 750's years?
ZX12's
Don't forget the rear as well if you know.

Kawasaki used the 6-piston calipers on a lot of their bikes. I'll see if I can find out if they're all interchangeable. Some are gold anodized, some black, but both work just as good.
What we should also try to find out is the master cylinder size for each bike.

MC size! Good point.
TLS 14mm
TLR 5/8" (15.875mm)
Hayabusa? It has the reservoir cast into the MC, bore size?

Adding to the mix with the Kawasaki 6 piston calipers...
00 - 02 ZX6R (look gray)
?? - 03 ZX7R (black) Saw them on shots of 7's as early as '98
?? - ?? ZX9R (black) Saw them on an '01
00 - 03 ZX12R (gold)
?? - 03 ZRX1200 (gold)

Any of the bikes with the 6 piston calipers also has the 5/8" master cylinder.

That seems to be the big question.

I've got a track day in 6 more sleeps, I wonder if I will get beat up going to each bike in the parking area and checking their calipers, mounting bolt distances and MC stampings.
I'll get in the scruitineering bay and pretend I'm a scruitineer
