somewher there's some results from testing the pressure in air boxs.......i think the tlr gained 12mb.....no much......but better than nothing.....also means the nice fresh cool air from the front of the bike was being pushed in,rather than sucked in....
another thing to think about is....as the bike moves through the air.....it creates low pressure down the sides.....effectively drawing air from the middle of the bike......this cant be a good thing with the lid of....
on a dyno this wouldn'y be a factor......as there's usuall just a cooling fan.... ideally bikes should be set up in a wind tunnel.....with the fan directly linked to wheel speed.......

I ran no cover for a bit. Didn't notice anything but a big airbox decibel level increase. So all I got was a headache after an hour of riding.

Been having website problems, but once sorted, I'll be putting up all the maps I've either used or have downloaded.
Have also read the Sportrider Magazine articles on ram air, and seen the pressure increases within the airbox so will be trying the bike with the lid on. Only issue for the time being is that I'm looking to get a cheap(ish) Wideband Commander to ensure that the bike doesn't run lean at high rpm / throttle openings and to give me something to work from when adjusting the map(s).
Latest purchase is a PK Quickshifter which integrates perfectly with the PC3...just need some testing time to sort out the shift times required.

Quickshifter works a treat - set to 75ms and not to operate before 6000 rpm, so enabling normal road use up to about 100mph for day to day tootling around. If I need/want to get a shift on and turn the noise tap on, wazzing through 6k then shifting is just an absolute pleasure of seamless acceleration. Not tried it cranked over yet, but I've had issues shifting mid corner before, so will see what this does to alleviate any bucking bronco impressions!
Sounds fucking awesome too!
