can you take a picture to a paintshop and use their color scanner. its like a camera that matches the paint with a computer. never seen one, only heard about it.

 

IIRC, the commentator for BSBK mentioned the pantone # for it. every other method won't get you an accurate color (doing a color eyedrop will only get you an approximate CMYK representation). if you get the #, you're going to be spot on every single time you get it.

Thanks. I've looked and looked ... but can't find.

I want to get as close to if not spot on. I've taken a print out of the colour scheme to the mixers against their chart, but its hard to match by sight.

The colour code would be far better.

Dark blue is PMS 295c
Yellow is PMS 130c

I know this thread is a little old but, I myself are thinking about a Rizla replica paint scheme.... I have had no luck with the pantone colors at the local paint shops....anyone else have any info of where to get this color?

 

Why don't you email the team? No reason why they wouldn't tell you. There might be an email link on the Motogp site??? Or google them... Good luck

 

Tried that also sent 2 e-mails...no reply.Also sent Dream Machine , people that developed the color and paints the bikes, e-mails and they wont give me the info either, says theirs is no "code" for it.

 

Try Colorite. They carry all of Suzuki's colors but you gotta buy from them. A code is only good for that given brand. Even if you get the mix numbers of colors to make it there will be some variation from say PPG or Sikkens etc.

 

called them yesterday....they only have factory colors. if i only knew some1 overseas in the area of Dream machine.

 

The pantone number is 2995C and you can order using the pantone code here http://www.paints4u.com/productsByCat.aspx?MainCategoryID=6&SubCategoryID=77 just enter 'pantone 2995c' in the paint code box when ordering. The paint is of the highest quality, just sprayed my 1000s, pics to follow.

 

good bit of info is that, but since the last post on this thread they've gone and changed the colour of the blue!!!!!! typical eh????
