I am so bummed about the snow - I work on the water - yes even in the winter - on the Long Island Sound - bad weather keeps the boat on the dock - which means that I wont get paid - snow sucks the big one for me - I cant tell the mortgage company to suck it if it snows - wish I could.

Yeah my ranger is 2wd and has a 4cyl with a 5speed manual in it. All I could afford a few years ago, then I put the 31" mudders on it when I got stuck in the snow (I think it was 2005??) and havent had a problem till this year, this snow this year is nuts. The main road around the corner has like 6" of compacted snow on it because Mdot is slow and unprepared .... Had to go through a snowbank to get around an abandoned car bout 2 hours ago, they got stuck so they left their car in the middle of the road and walked. I should have took a picture of that, it was funny

And I see that So Cal is getting ready to get hit with another storm as we are getting the one that just left them.... So looks like we here in the mid-atlantic might get another snow storm in the next week or so if that storm follows the path of the others

Good stuff, nothing wrong with 2wd, especially on a ranger. I think that model is really popular for baja pre-running. Seems the front end is particularly suitable to modifications for big wheel travel.

I drove from boston to VA during the last big storm and saw a few cars abandoned in the road. pretty crazy! I bet some of those tire cables would work really well in the snow too, but I've not used them.

1crock I thought you had 123 inches? You must have meant 12-13 inches.

That ain't 123" of snow.

Still no snow this time around yet.

Still waiting. See for me working at the Hospital people call in and complain yada yada, I can't get there..which, leads the door open for me to volunteer to work a double raking in $29.25 and hour. Since I could not crab a plow to make some coin this is the next best opportunity.

Therefore, I hope it starts coming down so people won't come in, and I get to work the double.

Last week I had 14.50 hours of OT.

We never get OT normally, this is a rare opportunity to do so.

I'd like to get the same this week for the same pay period.

Yep, fixed it in the edit, Del.

It's been snowing here since mid morning and is really getting good at it now. We have about 2 inches on the ground with 6 - 12 inches expected, depending on who you want to believe, by tomorrow night.

Just started here, and they only stated 2-8 so not much expected here.
