CB1000R at the moment has my eye ... or more than likely a K1200R cos if I gonna spend that much on a bike it may as well be bullet proof and designed by a regular sized person for a regular sized person

Got a few on my mind.
Gixxer thou or 750 for posing, horses and track time.
Maybe even a salvaged new droopy CBR1000 for the track.
Even a new Beemer 1000RR has passed my mind because it's unusual and should to good on the track, but then again it'they're too expensive to throw in the gravel trap.

+1 if it was for the road then the GSX1400 if it was for the track then a GSXR750.

not much point getting a sports bike for the road when you already have the TLR.

An affordable I4 that rocks - gotta be an FZ1 with all the DukeMods

Good ride today. Left at 7:00AM, missed most of the traffic. Fell in with a CBR1000 and GSXR something and led a nice spirited ride down a canyon road I know well. It was capped off at the end by the longest wheelie I have done on the FZ to date. It felt real natural, pretty high but not too, so I just went with it for about 1/8th of a mile with the throttle feathered

I also just put a Penske on it - it rides great on broken slabby pavement now, much "creamier" if that makes sense. The Penske has a RHA on it, lifting the tail a touch makes the bike feel 30 pounds lighter. It snap rolls into corners really nice now. My sick plan for this bike is just a set of black fatbars and some braided front brake lines away from being completed

The 2nd Gen FZs like mine are pretty cheap used, right around 5K. This leaves money for mods. It is a different bike after modding and loading my FI map of course. I would say the FZ1 is balanced. It is not a monster motor like a B-King or Hayabusa, but it has lots of smooth free revving power (making about 146 to 150hp set up like mine) and it will run rings around those bikes on a twisty road. It is not as sharp handling as pure sportbike, but it is pretty darn sharp, especially with better tires on it (the stock D221's in particular, are crap). It does not have the top end speed (max is about 155 mph) of a liter sport, but it feels great up to about 135 mph. After that the lack of plastic is a liability. It is stable at top speed, but it feels like a flying brick wall

The FZ tends to be overlooked as it is not "best" at anything. It is fun bike though, and I like that it has minimal yet effective plastic and is still a serious corner carving tool. From what I can tell so far, the thing is unbreakably reliable too. Best of all, the cops don't seem to notice it too much. They probably think it is a BMW or something

What? You did a wheelie? I'll be amazed when you report that you rode a bike and didn't loft the front wheel

I also think a sorta fighter'd ZX14 would make a great long-distance naked bike. Thinking a ratty kawak version of a B-king

To be brand loyal....GSXR 750 K6, but I'd track it.

16?kgs and 140BHP! I just don't see why you'd want the extra weight of the thou all for 30 more ponnies. Its an I4, so I'm going to rev the bollocks off it anyway (sod the torque)

My only question would be, is it too small for my frame at 5'11"?

Seriously, if I ever wrote off the TLR, that'd be the bike without a doubt, that colour and year.
