possible mains

i've got a noise on my tl....when it's warmed up...and sat in neutral...there's a sort of metallic knocking noise....it sounds end float ...used to get similar sound on my ols gs 425...that was cam end float...i know it's not end float on crank....but when i take hold of fly wheel...i can feel movement when i try to lift it up and down....i'm guessing there should be a tiny amount...but not sure how much is too much
the motor had a complete rebuild last spring...all bearings replaced.

Good work carl... But why was there lateral movement in the shell.? Hasnt it got a notch that matches an indent in the cases?

And 650cc ... more like 50cc poofter!

no notches to hold em in place...they have to be pressed in as a pair because the cases split vertically....my gues is that perhaps latteral play on crank became a bit to much....there were a few marks on the cases....the later one have a plate to stop the bearing coming out...and a different thrust washer....
