 that would only mean the oil gallery is facing the wrong way unless you are using sv rods

On a car piston with offset wrist pin holes it is possible to change the motion of the piston travel. by rotating the piston but not the actual position of TDC

Well I just measured a set of R cases and they are at 90 degrees and the crank center line is within 1 thou of the distance to the barrel matting surface. The flywheel ignition triggers are 90 degrees apart, I will go back to sleep now.

I was guessing that MAYBE the con rod big ends had been wallowed out and thus allowing the play to allow for "87" degrees. Just a guess.. now that DOUG has posted up his findings... my mind is smoking..
I know by turning the conrods around it SHOULDNT make a diff, just thinkin maybe the con rods were worn--badly. Like i say.. just a guess.
