asuke07, no need to use gasket sealer on new gaskets except a little on the centre of the base gasket over the crankcase join line and on the generator & clutch covers where the rubber wiring block exits the cases.

Obviously the main use is the crankcase halves

I use a little on the waterpump mechanical seal before pressing into the cover and also under the M6 waterpump bolt washer.

Water pump impeller

Question in the repair manual for the tls on the waterpump section it reads "hold the impeller still to remove the bolt " is this part supposed to spin freely or does it spin when the engine is on? I ask because when I went to remove my old impeler there was no need to hold it still it had a little play but basicly stayed still is that bad? if so what do I do

The shaft is not supposed to spin when removing the bolt, not unless you manage to turn the whole engine over by that bolt

Okay I replaced all seals washers and gaskets in the water pump and crankcase cover two freeze plugs were popped but still in good condition so I cleaned decreased epoxied and reinstalled I put in new coolant and bingo no more coolant leaking into the crankcase however now it looks like a little bit of coolant keeps leaking from the weep hole did I do something wrong? are one of my seals loose you think? or did I just overfill the radiator a little?
