Gas tank fuel line diagram?
I need to put the gas tank back on a tlr. Is there a site with a diagram that shows where what lines connect to which outlets on the tank?

Feed is pipe with plastic clip on !! iam sure only one of your pipes will connect to that so that as to be the correct pipe , other pipe is fuel return (back to tank) as a fine ribbed protection cover over it . then theres a plain rubber pipe which is a drain pipe from around your filler cap .. that comes out of your tank on right side to right of your fuel pump plate/ bolts.

There's four outlets on the tank though. Two coming directly from the tank on the right (orientation of tank sitting on bike and sitting behind tank, irrc) and the two coming off the copper colored plate on the bottom.

I looked up some diagrams and have a service manual, but it's not very clear. I see the fuel send and return and the water drain. There's two outlets that I'm talking about, one is the water drain. Is there a separate one for fuel drain? Like for overflow? I'm guessing that's what both they are.

Fuel / water will come out of the plug in base of tank depending if you wash the bike or you fill it full+full of petrol and your cap seal is not sealing !!

Location in your profile would be handy.
Is it a CA bike? The tanks for CA have an extra vent that goes to the charcoal cannister in the trunk. I'm sure there's a routing diagram in the back of the manual for the CA emissions stuff. (And tank lines). the factory manual can be downloaded from this site in the file vault.

It wouldn't have helped, but that does.
I'm in WV. It is a CA bike, so of course it has CA emssions. I wasn't thinking of that at all.
I have the service manual I downloaded, but it didn't have any clear photos and I didn't look in the back. I have pictures of all the lines and stuff that I hooked up last night. I'm hoping they're all correct. I'll post them up.
We had the tank on the bike, new battery in, and ready to go. I poured a gallon of gas into the tank and it all fell out of the bottom. The gasket around the fuel pump is useless. I'm going to try and get one so Friday evening we can install and try again.

CA tank will have the extra vent tube line that goes back to the evap canister. When I removed my evap canister I ran that line to the back of the tail section and installed an inline fuel filter with a foam cap to deal with venting/fumes.

So what's the line with the wire coil around it that runs from right below the tank hinge? Is that to the evap can?
I'll get the photos off the phone and post them up as soon as I can.
I just order a gasket to replace the bad one so I'll try again on Friday.
