thanks,, not a parts washer as such,,,,, a washing up bowl in the garden full of petrol and a no smoking sign in the driveway,,,,
not happy with the stone chips on the front of the cases,, but once its back on the bike i might not notice,,,,,, or i will get the cases refurbed one weekend when its running again.
Thanks Sam for the g'box too,, couldnt have done it without you really,, as it was the second thing to go back in the cases
More pictures next weekend when i get the circlips back.

I tend to leave the clutch cover off until I have the heads on and the cams in as its a lot easier to set up the timing marks and if necessary move the cam drive sprocket by taking the big nut off and moving the gears instead of having to turn the engine over a million times to get the marks to line up.

i did have a go at cleaning the starter,, but i think it is going to need a respray or something as it is pitted,,,, dont really want to paint it either though, as it will get too chipped when riding, any suggestions on what i could use??
