SOLD WER Steering Damper, fully adjustable
These are a rotory design much like a Scotts/Ohlins or GPR. They have adjustable damping. It is more simple than the Ohlins, but also fully user serviceable. If you find you want more adjustment range you can put in thicker or thinner oil, although the thumbwheel adjuster works very well.
The reason I went with this model was because it mounts to the lower triple clamp and leaves the upper triple uncluttered for a clean look. This also means it will work just fine with an MX bar conversion. The damper body is universal then mounting kits are used to fit it to various bikes. This one has the kit to mount to a TLR. The mounting is pretty simple and I'm pretty sure it would fit a TLS without much hassle, but haven't tried it yet myself. I bought this with the intention of putting it on my TLS and never got around to it and now could use the $$. These retail for $399 and most discount shops sell them for $360ish. I'd like $260 shipped in CONUS, I'll happily ship to anywhere in the world but outside CONUS I may need a few more $$ to cover the extra shipping expense. Its brand new, the box has only been opened so I could take pics of everything. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

good dampers. I've used one on my ktm for 6 years. Wer has good service and rebuilds are definately on the inexpensive end for that sort of thing.

Best I can tell you have to drill one 3/16ths hole in the underside of the frame spar for mounting the frame bracket (its where the damper attaches to the frame). A drill bit is included. The is also a tap and screws included as well as pop rivets so I guess you can pick which ever you like best. I'll make a better scan of the instructions and post them in a sec

Also, if you wanted you could buy a mounting plate for your second bike (if you have one etc) and swap the damper between bikes. Once the plates/brackets are installed it is pretty simple to remove the damper body itself. IIRC mounting kits are about $65.

WER Dampers are nice, I had one on my first TLS. Nice product. Need to drill a couple of holes in the frame to mount on a TLS
