1 BHP = 745.7 Watts = 1.01389 PS

PS is to make things sound better, its a german metric horse
for Kw just move decimal place i.e divide by 1000
0.74569987158227022 kW

mmm.. love SI units mean nothing but the maths is easy

As far as I know 100bhp = 72 kW. BHP or PS makes little to no difference?

PS = pferdestarke.

MHP for metric Horsepower would have been easier

Throw them all away. Stevepowers rule

What? The UK use kilometres instead of miles?

Or worse, the USA use Celsius instead of Fahrenheit?

And then you've got RWHP and BHP just to throw a spanner in the works.

Rear wheel Horse Power.

BHP, Brake Horse Power can be measured at the crank shaft of the rear wheels. You can use HP and BHP the same these days. The Brake in BHP was the old school for Dyno.

Yup - (B)HP, read at the crank is what most manufacturers quote, cos it's a higher number than RWHP, which, being taken from the rear wheel seems to be a more realistic assesment
