360 locked up sending off tomorrow for repair

Ring of death,

At first I had four rings and I called them. We went through the normal steps and XBOX stated they would only repair three rings not four. I could send it in for repair for $100.00 I argued and asked to speak with a manager. I waited about ten minutes and hung up. I figured I'd call back while at work.

Anyways out of the blue it started working. I played a few games of COD4 and it locked up again. the screen was frozen. I restarted it and I had the three rings this time.

I called xbox360 again, and this time I received and RMA so It's ready to be shipped for repair.

I told the rep I should receive a new elite system as this one has hosed up twice, and I was thinking of migrating to the ps3. She did not take any pity on me.

Oh well, I hear if it red rings three times you get an elite. Is that a myth?

About the 3 strikes.

I wasn't happy about the RoD on mine, but I was happy with their service. I was ready to fork to $120AUD for a repair and got a surprise when I entered RoD as the problem and the total cost dropped to $0.00, the repair was fast and they had the unit back to me in no time. Plus they extended the warranty and gave a bonus 1 month Gold subscription extension.

I'll buy it if you sell it

also Del, look into one of the clip-on intercoolers, it helped my friends a lot downside is it adds a tad bit of noise, but its worth it

Well, I am eyeing a local 2 piece Roadcrafter suit....hmmm.

specs are: premium with drive, 2 controllers. I have the wireless but will probably keep it on the Wii, that get's used as i have Fit and I'm too lazy to go to a gym :-) Games are Gears of war platinum, call of duty 2 or 3...one of those, not most recent, honestly can't remember. motogp 07, pjg racing and cars. gone through those games once so that's how much it's been used. still have all receipts and packaging materials and it's still less than 3 years old. what's it worth?
