... there's a performance gap in wireless mouse?
I've never noticed ... but you know, with USB you can have both plugged in at the same time I replaced my battery um months ago I have more battery problems with my wireless gamepad ...I've not ever noticed wake-up lag with the MS stuff, but like I said - Logicrap has the shittiest software in the world. Otherwise - I like being able to clear off my desk to use wheel, joystick etc it's all about the real estate I guess.Intel and Nvidia ![]()

Gaming = no wireless
I have to admit a logi desktop MX kit is not really the latest stuff.. but it lags noticable because of the wireless communication I reccon. For gaming I still use a Boomslang 1000 which I'd like to replace, but only untill it really stops working. Wondering how much miles are on that thing ![]() The mice on the desktop MX kit is good at touch sensitivity, but my dads 518 seems more sensitive and clicks when I don't wanna. Both logitechs tho..

I've got the logitech Trackman wheel mouse... corded... was like 29 bucks.. works great.. never had an issue with it. Pop the ball out once and a while to clear the dust bunnies and the arrow flies across the screen!!
no mouse pad required! Bonus! ![]()

Bah, I stopped playing with mouse balls years ago!
![]() I looked at the 518 and based on what you said I'm glad I didn't grab it. I think it was only $5-$10 more for the G5 and it doesn't do random clicks so I'm happy with that. Played some games with the new G5 last night and it's doing it's job well. Still getting used to that funky crinkle finish on it though, you can actually feel the crinkles. Wonder if I can pop that baby off, sand it down and spray it yellow! ![]()

Y'all gotta try the MS gear - better than anything Logicrap I've had ... lag? no such thing. I game just fine with with cordless gear
![]() Track balls - I've always like them for general windows-ing but need the fidelity of a mouse for certain stuff ... like games ![]() Ever tried to train yourself to use different key setup in games eg. S = forward W = back? madness ... makes me motion sick which is why I could probably never get used to a trackball for gaming ![]()
