Bought a 02' TLR
well i am new to the TLR sceen.......i have owned alot of other bikes in the past to include a cbr 600 f2, 2003 R6, and my most recent a 99 R1 that i custom built into a drag bike. i decide to give up drag racing because of wife and family.....I am currently serving in the air force and i am in the middle east right now
. i got board the other day and wanted to buy a motorcycle so i started looking. . I worked in a motorcycle shop for almost 4 years before i joined the military and i use to see TLR's leave the shop and they sounded BAD ass!!! and they were usually on 1 wheel . so i decided to buy one. found one on ebay that was in mint condition with full yoshi exhaust, power commander II, and K&N! Now if i could only get home and ride it. Also i am stationed in North Carolina by the coast, but my home town is in East Tennessee so i am close to US129 (tail of the dragon) so i cant wait to get back home and ride it!!! i attatched a pic.Last edited by highrolr2003; 08-02-2007 at 04:31 PM.. |

Hey, Im with you man, I just got my TL 1000R a couple of months ago, its the best bike Ive ever owned by far, I live in the finger lakes regan of New York, There is alot of country roads around me that I can open it up on and let it take a deap breath. There is only two TLR's in this area that I know of, Mine and my buddy has a 1999 Yellow one, Mine is Bue and white like yours. Well Im trying to find more TL owners in New York and try to get a TL meet togeather some time and do a ride. I am also trying to open a custom bike shop geared into the sport bikes, Im sick of everyone opening a custome bike shop and working on nothing but Harley and crusers. No one gives any respect to the sport bikes. Well let me know what you think about the bike shop and if there would be any customers??

Welcome ![]() It's not that the bike shops don't give respect to the SportBikes, it's more like they go where the money is. Most sport bike riders do their own wrenching, so you might just want to get ready to work on cruisers to make ends meet because they outnumber sport bikes by far. |
