Group Ride July 4 Granbury, TX
Group Ride Saturday July 4, 2009
We plan on having an informal, “ride at your own risk” run to Cranfills Gap and back.
This ride will be comprised of some familiar and not so familiar faces so we encourage anyone looking for a good ride to come out and have some fun.
A bit about our group… We are NOT street stunters or street racers. We do not go up and down the highway at 150mph, nor do we recklessly weave through traffic or do 100mph standups. If that is your type of riding then please look elsewhere.
BUT.. If you enjoy non-pressured, ride at your own pace backroad roasting then please feel free join us on Saturday. We have a good route planned that will include some tight twisties and big sweepers as well as plenty of straight and flat. We encourage you to wear gear but we are all adults here that is ultimately up to you.
As of right now we have about 5 riders that have confirmed so this could be a big ride, or it could be quite small. We’ll see..
Meet in Granbury at Cari’s for Breakfast at 9:00 am and ready to roll @ 10:00 am
2113 E Highway 377
Granbury, TX 76049
.

Put me down as a maybe on this one. And a word of warning to anyone who hasn't ridden with this group. You won't be abused on the ride, but when we stop for breaks, you'll be abused. And being as old Doug should be riding, there's going to be lots of breaks.

A Kourier has to establish space on the pavement. Predictable law-abiding behaviour lulls drivers. They mentally assign you to a little box in the lane, assume you will stay there, can't handle it when you leave that little box.
Y.T. is not fond of boxes. Y.T. establishes her space on the pavement by zagging mightily from lane to lane, establishing a precedent of scary randomness. Keeps people on their toes, makes them react to her, instead of the other way round.

It will be too hot to be sporting the Franks...blue jeans and the Joe Jacket. And I need as many "pee" breaks as you. I just need my "snuff" break.

Doug, you totally missed Jasen's joke. The joke was more about the "when we stop for breaks, you'll be abused" line than you actually going pee pee.. although I thought it was funny either way.
Normally, when you stop I'm ready as well.

Well, I did put the jab about Doug going pee pee in there, though I wasn't specific. He gets sore and has to stop and stretch, he can't handle riding that long without needing to stop and rest and change his depends.
Oh yea, and anyone can see from this thread the kind of harassment you'll get. Well...oddly enough, Chad hasn't been called a homo yet, but if someone read the sigs they'd figure that one out.
